Not sure how long I'll be offline Friday afternoon my computer made a POP sound and let out some smoke :shock: I'll have to wait until Monday to get it checked and find out if I need a new cpu or mobo or both

Since the library is closed tomorrow I won't be on at all

I gotta go they're kicking me out since they closed 15 minutes ago :oops:

I hope your pc issue isnt a big one and you will be able to come back soon. In the mean time go to the library with a huge jacket and see if you can sneak out with one of their pc's .

ok, if your hd´s are "gone", dont buy maxtors... or seagates...btw:
there exist a german phrase/anecdote about seagate since ..20years? now... good old commodore-amiga-500-times...

the words "sea" and "gate", like you speak it, is in a german dialect form
"sie geht"
and the phrase is:
"sie geht oder sie geht nicht"
(sie=she/it, geht=going/goes)
so its like "it goes or it goes not"
(because off that odd capricious "thing" to work sometimes, then for some reason it shutdown, didnt work for some hours, then you leave that crap "allone" for 2 days and then you try it again and it works fine for a week, and then all problems start again...etc... :-) )
and this bad thing is like a stigmatize since 20 years now here :-)
