Lol but of course the General is down for sum CB same name on skype (General-Chainz) always down for CB

PopNstyle as for controls
its the same as invasion use whatever you use for movement (me is arrows you know left right up down )
then the shift key if you hold it you jump
mouse is for looking around jus like invasion
your fire and alt fire buttons are for the pickups
the giant flips your talking bout..well.thise take alot of practice. I'm decent at Cb but i still cant get the hang of those but
set this keybind
Set input "X" cbquickflip (X being whatever works for you) now when you are driving at full speed hit that button and youll do a giant jump when your in the air use a speed power up and there you go
Fool I'm a Vet You can bet That
I can Dance Underwater
And Not Get Wet ......Ice Cube

the velocity of my creativity is a reality in the proximity of the
vicinity relatively
to the Stability from the tranquility it all comes naturally F*** doin
it properly .....General-Chainz

And the Generals gave thanks...to the other Ranks....as they held back the enemy Tanks....for awhile ....Roger Waters

hmm, someone should really write a small guide to carball here since it is the server's sport and part of the community. i am thinking knave, zombs, chainz or such in the strategy section since you guys are among the better.

if someone does not say they will take that up by tomorrow, then i will do one!

and...yes, i love invasion and playing here, but i also enjoy carball a good deal and don't want to go to another server for it unless its a planned event ahead of time initiated by someone here :P

and true enough that i have no idea what deathball is all about..i am guessing it is more football/rugby like than soccer?

Also, if you hold down shift and I think space or maybe its another key I have set, you will rotate forwards or backwards, and there is one more command I know of for carball and that is cbwheelie. And another move I know is to quickflip at a wall, turn the bottom of your car to the wall and hold down shift to climb the wall.
Sometimes a crazy move is the best move.

i forget what the default keys are for carball, i switched some around to work better. i still need to rework a few things too. cbwheelie is also a keybind ability too? o,,o are there any more i don't know about?

as for that shift key hold for climbing..is that the "crouch" button you mean?

one thing in carball's obstacle maps is climbing a wall that ends at a 90 degree angle. i have no idea how to get over them without falling again. i can get to the top part of the wall, but no idea how to get thrust enough to get over and be on top. i;d like to play some of those obstacle courses again...

i believe 'c' tips you forward, and 'space' tips you backwards. i could be wrong, it's been a while since i've played CB.

to get on the top of that wall, you have to tip forward after your last boost, and pray you make it. :hwsb2:

Well I will try to explain and cover Carball best i can

Ok well lets start with movement

Me I use Arrow Keys which would be WASD or whatever you have set your movement up as

Anyways
Up arrow/W - Forward/Gas - Makes you go forward

Left Arrow/A - Left Turn - Turns your wheels to the left

Right Arrow/D - Right Turn - Turns Wheels to the right

Down Arrow/S - Brake/Reverse - Hold this key for your regular brake or to go into reverse

For mouse

Mouse movement is for looking around straighting out camera angle basically your look utensil

Left Mouse Key - Primary Fire - Fires primary mode on pickups (Pocket Rockets/ Goo Pile / Speed boost

Right Mouse key - For me its Emergency Brake - Use this to make sudden stops and or spin around a lil faster when turning

Middle Mouse Wheel Button - Alt Fire - Fires Alternate Fire of a pickup (Pocket Rocket / Goo Pile /Speed )

Mouse Wheel Roller - This is pretty useful For me it rolls my camera view in closer or out farther which I constantley change depending on where I am in the field

To switch between powerups its [ ] same as Invasion unless you changed it

Ok Now Ill try to cover sum of the special stuff I only know and use a lil of it but I will try

Small Jumps - Shift key or sum people have space bar - If you press and hold this key you should notice a lil power bar at the bottom of your screen powering up. When its full let go and you will jump straight up. If you are turning at the same time as u jump your car will do a spin in the air
If you jump up and then click jump again you will tilt forward and if you hit reverse you will tilt backwards making your car vertical

Also with this key you can do alot of special tricks
Example - Pick up a Speed booster chase down the ball get right behind it press that key and let it power up for maybe a second jump then hit that button again and you will be poised to chip the ball like a pool stick hitting under the ball.

To climb walls - drive towards the wall power up your jump key hit reverse so you lean back when u hit the wall with your tires hit and hold the jump key and you will stick to the wall although YOU CANNOT TURN while doing this whichever way you are heading is the way you are going

GIANT JUMP - You have to set a keybind for this to work
Set input "X" CBQUICKFLIP (X being whatever you choose)
This helps for when the ball is bouncing in the beginning of the match unless you are a CB pro then it comes in handy

Drive as fast as u can once your moving at a good speed tap that button and you will do a giant backflip in the air. Once you get that down then you add things to it like a speed booster after you jump

I only use quickflip for the beginning really

POWERUPS

Speed Booster Primary Fire gives you a speed boost
Alt fire Gives you a super Jump

Goo Pile Primary Fire Releases a goo pile right behind you for them pesky tail gaters
Alt Fire will let you charge the goo and shoot it forward depending on how much of a charge you give it

Repulse field Primary Fire Creates a Rubber like Bubble around you bouncing almost anything off and away

Pocket Rocket Primary shoots a rocket in a straight line
Alt Fire lets you control how far and where you want it to go lil difficult to control

Nuke Bomb Well ima let you figure this 1 out lol

The Gold wrenches laying all over the field those give you health a nd repair your car as you run them over

There is alot of tricks you can do but you have to learn the jumps to do alot of em . Lol im only good at maps with the goal ont he ground goals in the air or the tennis map are my weaknesses the jumps are difficult i know

I hope I didnt forget anything
There prolly are more keybinds and tricks but thas all i know or use

Carball is Soccer with cars the Object is to get the ball into the goal of the opposing team and guard your own goal .
Gets addictive after time I startwed jus like everyone else hated carball never wanted to play but im addicted now carball is kick ass

I can Dance Underwater
And Not Get Wet ......Ice Cube

chainzy, since this topic may disappear into the past, posting it in the strategies section of forum might be wise :}

i'll add a couple things myself as well..but with scion mentioning cbwheelie, i am curious to try it :o

i was the same way at first..i had no idea how carball worked or how to do anything well. after some of those 5-8 cb map playing times in the past, i got better and now it is rather fun! anytime carball is put up for vote, i vote for it! except openspac or other maps that need airballing techniques that i just can't do <,,<

Heh, I'm decent at carball, meaning I can sometimes score with the ball but when I learned the cbquickflip command, that really came in handy. I use it a bit, mostly to jump over people or escape from a corner.
