so let's hear it, everyone! tell your personal feelings about the new difficulty and observations from it? :}

of the maybe 8 maps i played under it, 3 were won. there are now new factors involved in getting a victory, and it only partially has to do with people having good weapons.

first, low levels need to be in higher number than those with greater level, for in the latter 10 or so waves, you will feel the toughness of the baddies in every way. the toughness is found in those monsters i say of in strategy speaking as the type that are vampable and vulnerable to powerup effects like null entropy/propulsion/pullforwards/etc. the other type of monsters are as normal and die as readily.

secondly, the lower levels need to stay alive. this is not going to be easy, even if the higher levels try their best. i started two other characters here from the beginning, and i know any hits with a dr 400 or less is going to hurt very bad, and even with advanced dr and dr of 500, i am feeling the pain. vampirism level 10 now is showing great importance during many moments now, and it is why i am among the last usually surviving.

thirdly, well, forget powerful guns winning out a map when those higher levels monsters are seemingly taking extreme beating and not going down. so far now, during such moments, there is only one powerup that is probably going to be needed on every higher level's gun...vorpal. even then, it is just a ray of hope. earlier on curse4, wave 20, i spent a minute shooting a titan with the full spread of dual rocket spread's blast with no health decrease. eventually, the vorpal got it. so, minis, mp5s, and other rapid fire/rapid projectile releasing guns will be the best to use for it. the best gun now when the moment gets heated will be combat shotgun. primary or alt fire, the vorpal effect kicks off on this gun more than any other gun. it may be wise to actually give a combat to a higher level person or someone with globe if the map is one that will be toublesome. so, if the weps crate is opened, you guys know what gun i will take!

anyways, i rather love this difficulty now <3

Drae......I agree, but I think it was a pretty high tweaking of the server that everyone one has to get used to........In my opinion, the tweak was a lil too much and should be adjusted down just a lil.....

Well, I think it is a bit much. And do not think the server is very noob friendly right now.

This is one of the most popular servers around. I forget what I heard it was last ranked. Do we really want the server so difficult that it drives people away??????????? Something to think about.

syn, you must be playing on another server or something lately. or playing out your godliness yet again after trying one or two maps with mostly medium level players :P

i just played 5 maps and it is freaking hard as heck. oddly, playing as level 184 drae resulted in map wins, playing as 292 draegohn, all losses. regardless, i am beginning to think there needs a little tweak in some way. perhaps like damage, protection needs upped to +10 capability. i dunno, but anyways, i am not sure what to think now when half the team dies in the first 5 seconds, then the enemies get yet even more super strength when adjusting to those still alive. i am scared to even ponder what it would be like if just 6 play only, like it can be some very early mornings o..o

I got little obsessed with this new difficulty today. Although I personally like it, I mean a lot... I do feel bad for the lower level players, they die so easily.
This morning, Me, Uncertain, venger, amy, dreadnaught, and a few others, ( syn came in and out) were getting thoroughly mauled and crushed until we played "hold the camp" by which point more players joined to balance the levels. Anyway we finally won, although with certain difficulty and with the help of lower level players like monster mobster hiding out.

But when it comes to it I think the difficulty is alright given the right map conditions and a good balance of players(levels).

quick note: It's also definitely hard joining late in a map too, however I'm not complaining, I love it!!

i noticed a lil diffrence mostly in increased numbers of monsters and you really dont want to be the last alive now lol.

OMG you're right there - coming in after wave 10 makes you a goner @ best, and level barely matters.

I love the new difficulty setting, this is how it should have been.

The way joey tackled things was from the beginning of new monster madness server he made it easy (lots of powerups, lots of super weapons) so we could get a few high level players and level up higher, now that that is done joey is making it harder and now you see those extra things (super weps, lots of powerups) slowly disappearing. Joey had us get ready for the fight of our lives, and now its here. If any new guy gets crushed instantly and decides to leave then oh well, any player that plays here NOW needs to be dedicated to the server, not just some guy who randomly decides to join and then become godlike in 3 days. So I personally enjoy it because now you guys cant just stand in the middle of mobs anymore and just spam away. Now its more difficult and you have to actually THINK a little bit.

I must say LOVE autoadjust of .5. This makes game more interesting and forces people to play as a team.
As far as for nobs it was never easy in the 1st place, but thats why everyone came here.
Now to all high players who are bitching - SHARE WEAPONS AND POWERUPS - if you dont play as a team now - you do not get to win.
So here is a tip: everytime someone gets a ghost artifact give it to low level; share all weapons and extra powerups as these settings will not let you win alone.

I forgot to add that we have so many ssr pus and summon pus now ( not mentioning all other sorts of cool pus) so ya, its payback time baby - live with it as it wasnt fun to beat 9 out of the 10 maps.
