People will prbably say no, just becuse of how often it was played... but even that being said I would rather play Dust over Curse.

It is kinda annoying going to such a "cramped" map after a "crash." I felt Curse was a rough choice from the first time I heard it; I think Dust has had its day; but I also think a mpa with a little more breathing room would be better as well.

My 2 cents.

That was the post I was waiting for, I knew someone who was up at six in the morning regularly would spill it eventually. The problem with Curse is that it's an excellent DM map, but for Invasion it is severely lacking.

At least in Dust, five nukes could go off in separate locations, and there'd still be room for some people to avoid the blasts. Curse can't handle two without basically wiping the vast majority of players out of existence. That, and the only "safe haven" spot is under the stairs which is located pretty much in the dead center of the map. Meaning, one nuke goes off, and there goes all our low levels.

I'm not sure if it's been posted on the forum, but it has been said during gameplay on the server. We weren't given a chance to vote for the new default, we were only asked if we wanted a new one. I think this should be reconsidered, and I feel some others have the same opinion.

....and if we were given a choice, you bet your red bottom I'd be voting for HoldTheCamp. Why? Because it is the shizzle. The D double O slash bagel bingle Shiznit, and all that good stuff. But that's just an opinion of this one noob.

and this is exactly why i love it. most are pissed of playing the defmap again and again. but if the chance to win it is 2:10 or 3:10 and we can play "faster" a new map after we lost the match, instead of winning 9 from 10 times playing dust, then its the right def-map. theres no need for a default map which needs 90 minutes to finish...

as long its not possible to create something which changes automatic the defaultmap every hour maybe someone can create a small map in which we will all die latest in wave 8??? lol (hmm... nvidia-logo...)

Wow, that's got to be the most biased quote I've seen in a good long while. Not to make an obvious question or anything, but since when was the purpose of the game to lose by wave 8? We're here to enjoy ourselves, and the map. Invasion is the only game setting that usually takes an hour or so to finish a map, and that's part of why we're here, for a long, brutal battle. If we wanted maps to end within fifteen minutes, we'd join a DM or something.

Sorry, but I'm not sorry. Enjoyment in an Invasion server doesn't mean the default map is unenjoyable to the point that no one wants to play it. There's a difference between a 'challenge' and a 'waste of time'. Most of us who come to MonsterMadness aren't here to have our time wasted on maps that no one enjoys except the bias few. ;P

But again, that's just this noob's opinion, and I'm certainly glad to be entitled to it.
