team invasion
We had a topic about this before(can't find it tho), and will we be able to kill each other? Also what will it add? Just another team colour?

well most of us allready compete for the highest score as it is, so if we are competing with a friend on an opposite team it makes it more fun since there are two teams and maybe the team with the higher score in the end wins the exp or bonus exp. If joey puts this on im sure he will hook it up to make it really cool.

So if one team has the good players, like the 220+ they get all the good PU's (Lets take blue). So the Blue Team has the good players and the Reds have only 1-2 good players they won't be able to get any good 'PU's! Without PU's you wont be able to build-up a good gun and it wont be any fun!

Re: Team Invasion
what level you are doesnt determine the powerups you get. so if you see a super force you could be level 1 or 200, you still have a super force.Beowulf wrote:So if one team has the good players, like the 220+ they get all the good PU's (Lets take blue). Blah Blah Blaaahhh
Hmm.. If I only could talk Dutch here :D  ..
The Blue team wants to beat the Red team, so they hoard everything, and make sure the Reds wont be able to get the PU's ( THE GOOD STUFF!!)
Not a Superforce! It's handy, but not needed like infs! heals! sturdies!

Re: Team Invasion
Beo does make a very good point here regarding team balance. It really wouldn't be fair - or very fun IMHO - if all the HLPs ended up on one team and all the LLPs ended up on the other - see: "slaughter"Beowulf wrote:So if one team has the good players, like the 220+ they get all the good PU's (Lets take blue). If this would be a newly developed gametype here, it should be considered that teams are balanced in player level, and players are added to the team which needs more "level points".
IE: Red team has 5 players whose total sum of levels is 1000; Blue team has 5 players whose total sum of levels is 1300. If any new players come in, they automatically go to the Red team until the total sum of levels is (nearly) equal, regardless of if the number of players may be unbalanced.
scenario 2:
at the start of such a game, the server distributes playes to teams based on their level:
Red team gets a L260 player
Blue team gets a L250 player
Blue team gets a L220 player (they get "next pick" because their total level sum is lower at this point)
Red team gets a L210 player
Red team gets another L210 player
Blue team gets a L100 player
Blue team gets a L110 player
(so on and so forth)
just something to consider. I don't really know if it is even possible to code the game this way, but it works logistically at least!

I will consistently sacrifice political correctness for an attempt at humor. If ya can't deal, then ya need ta stop being ign'ant.
