I figured I get this now and upgrade later. They didn't have the GTX on the site. Plus I'd have to add 900 to get the 1333 quad core chip. I think I'll still to this. :p

its been a while since i have looked, but last time i checked, intel didnt make a quad core socket 775 1333mhz chip. they may have changed since a month and a half ago when i looked, but thats the chip i really want. the closest you can get is 1066 if i am not mistaken.

well that is true, it is a LGA 775 but i didnt think most people wanted to spend 1200.00 on a cpu only. i was thinking something in the 300-500 range, but if you got the coin, more power to you

THe great thing about it was when I switched the cpu the price didn't changed. The only thing that changed was the power supply.

Syn the first thing you need to do is figure on when you are ready to buy it. Computers change now in price everymonth. The greatest thing today is outdated tomorrow. What you want to look for is something that will apply to todays games. Nothing is going to push one 88** series card. Getting two is still something I would recomand. Overclocking any of the new things on the market is only pressuring your system to do something that is doesn't need to do in the gaming world. If you want a true overclocking system then you want make sure its something easy to do with the compants you want. The higher you go in gaming the high risk you take with cooling. No only do you have manage case size and fan power but you might be pushing towards watercooling which is great but does arise the issue if something goes wrong everything is done. But the system you built will be fantasic for years to come but be outdated by the time you put it together.

Ya know I've always wondered about something since the uber big hd's started coming out.

Wouldn't it still be faster to use 2 smaller high rpm drives than 1 uber big one?
