No, that was the first thing that I updated. I ran the game after the update for it. I believe it's more to do with possible game crashes if they occur. I didn't have any game crashes...but I went through and updated several things and edited the settings in one of the config files.[BGE]Cha-Chi wrote:I never thought about this before, good call Anna. Have you noticed any improvements in performance since the update?
Your totally wrong on the PhysX tech.......The card is only suppose to bring out certain things in the game like better explosions. The card doesn't replace the GPU at all.1800 wrote:i dont think physx is a usable technology anyways. i could not find substantial proof that the physx card actually does ANYTHING more than a high grade GPU. it is slated to free up resources from the CPU so that the game runs better/smoother. a 1gig video card does the same thing and takes up one less slot on your mobo. if anyone has proof that the physx card actaully does something different, please tell me. i am interested in getting one, but not if the only thing it does is the same as upgrading your video card. right now i run a 768mb oc BFG tech and it screams at everything you throw at it. i am not really sure that the physx card would make any improvement at all at this point.
The physx card is just to enhance some GPU effects that normal GPU cards don't normally do..........not replace it. Be advised that the physx card only works on games (like UT 3) that have enhanced software that is specific to the physx card. It's kinda of like adding NOS to an engine......LOL1800 wrote:according to everything i have read...nothing..its kinda like ur preference on chips tho...some say intel and some say amd. i personally believe that its a waste of money, but thats because i cant find any that it actually does that much more than a high end gpu...
