HUGE PROBLEM!

HUGE PROBLEM!
ok i got a huge problem! when i started up my labtop it has some kinda warning saying that a file was moved but the computer put it back and when i started it up it was like all new and stuff but it wasnt cause i still had my old background and my games and my music. so when i started up unreal tournament i went to skip the into(cause no one like watching that thing over and over again). but the esc key wast working. so i went to the controls and it was blank. so i spen 5 mins filling in the escentials. so i went to instant action to try the out. i cokdent look around or even walk the only key that worked as the esc and the jump key. i need some help, also when the map went to load the usual background for that scean was all black and only the tip and the loading map thing was there.
My mind works in mysterious ways.

Well...if you look within your UT2004/System folder, you'll find a file called DefUser.ini. You can either rename that file to "user.ini" or just copy all the info within it..and paste over all the info that is in the user.ini file. The DefUser.ini file will reset all user info...such as player model, controls, sound settings, display settings etc. so you'll have to go through and change all your custom settings again. You can always make a backup copy of your original user.ini file just in case you want to restore the settings that you had prior to the change.
If using the default info in the user.ini file doesn't help your problem...then you're issue is going to be somewhere else. It's possible that you have a custom mod or mutator installed on your game that is causing issues, keyboard driver issue, the keyboard itself, or possibly even the port that your keyboard is plugged into. If it isn't within the game itself...then it's obviously a hardware/system/software problem :D
