Well me and my cousin built his computer on Friday. Its amazing. On my computer it takes anywhere from 1.5-2 hours to convert a movie. It took 30 minutes to convert an hour and 48 minute 700mb movie. We played fallout 3 and the graphics were beautiful. As soon as we started the game it said we were permitted to run it on ultra high quality settings. Everything is great and works like a charm. Also there was absolutely no lag on Fallout 3 at all and all the loading times were under 5 seconds. I am still in aw.

you realy think you should have gotton better ram , i sent you a link for better and was only $15 and that would have saved you enough money to get a better video card, i know that you have built a good PC, just think you could have spent roughly the same or even less and gotton a bit of an upgrade. all in all you did not do bad, i am not saying that at all. and i am sure you are realy pleased, you know, you can still rma. i am posting a link about the video card you got. not saying it is bad at all, becuse it is not. but dude for $20 more (that you can save by buying diffrent ram ) are you running vista? if you are not you are wasting 4gb of ram, you can't use it.

One rapid question paint, but you want to buy a case with power supply (500W), and at the same time you want get another Power Supply (850W) ??? And 850W is too much for the configuration you have in mind
Instead It's a hard choice, for the processor, but if you want a pc for play at games, core 2 duo, with high freq, it's a good choice, if you want make other, encoding video etc etc, then buy one quad core.
My suggest is:
Choose one case with no powersupply.
I will recommend a dual core intel with a higher frequency.
No game exploits the quad core, and almost not even the dual, and who knows how long will remain so.
Then focus on core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz 6MB cahe. 164.99$
For vid card, you can considering the ATI Radeon 48xx series,
From newegg:
Ati radeon 4830 (if you find with 1GB it's better)
* You Save: $10.00
* Free Shipping
* Your Price:$119.99
* Mail-In Rebate pdf:N82E16814102803 $15.00
* Price after rebateN82E16814102803(s):$104.99
or radeon 4850
* You Save: $5.00
* Volume Savings up to 4%
* Your Price:$194.99
* Mail-In Rebate pdf:N82E16814102759 $15.00
* Price after rebateN82E16814102759(s):$179.99
But if you have a 19" monitor, certainly a video card lower is better.

And for motherboard, unfortunately when i do not know how to advise, because i do not have much time to read more information, around, now.

Well the i7 quad core just came out and apparently the thing is a beast. However you need a new type of motherboard that only supports DDR3 ram to buy it. And IIO thanks for the graphics card information. I can't believe there are like 800 stream processors in those cards. I am really at loss on what to buy now when I build my PC. I know that technology is rapidly always getting better so I should be happy with what I get but the i7 is so much better than the best core 2 extreme and less than 1/3 of the price for the entry level one so I am really not sure what to do. When the time comes though I will probably get the i7 and hopefully some nforce mother boards and cheaper ram will be out.

Yeah I checked out the Youtube video and all they said was that the video card was good. Also I think one of you mentioned that the powersupply was overkill for what I am running, what would you recommend? When I picked out the psu I thought it would be safe to say that the video card needed 450 and everything else needed what it needed so just add. I also picked the 850 just to be safe. If the 500W will work though then we can re-sell the 850 or send it back to newegg for credit. I just need to know what will be recommended based solely on the parts shown in that picture (minus the psu obviously).
