Boozo Idling/Paintballs explanation for whats idling

Vigilance to be honest it's not just the idling that got him booted. For most he was a constant annoyance/pain in the ass.

I didn't mind him too much when I couldn't hear him :twisted:

Why not instead of going by everyones word.. you could play instead, actually witness it in your own eyes, personally give him a warning, then continue to kick. Its not really fair when you come home one day and see "you've been banned", doing so just makes people pissed off at you and or could very well possibly result in someone hacking the server.

but hey, its not my server. you can do whatever you want.

I'm in game or monitoring it all the time. I know what goes on and I have been so lenient with Boozo and he just kept breaking server rules 2 & 3. Also you are right on the fact with zone. I was too lenient with him also. Well for now on break the server rules and I will give you a or any of the other admins will give you warning in game that you are breaking them and if you continue your banned, thats it. This is the best and proficient way to end drama that I don't have time for on the server. Admins are not there to contribute to the drama. If we see breaking of the server rules we will kick and ban accordingly. Like joey stated this is a shoot to kill basis, you break the rules and continue you are banned.

Now some of you might be thinking right now, well thats not fair everyone makes mistakes. Yes I agree with that however my friends there is a fine line between BeingRightBack so you can go to the bathroom in between map switch or even in the middle of the game with notice saying u will brb, And idling entire maps without notice or even if you do say brb. Being gone for an entire map (which usually if we win is around 35 minutes) is EXTREMELY rude and ignorant considering there are other players waiting to join the game!

To clear it up also, the term "BRB" means that you will literally Be Right Back. When I see a player say brb it occurs to me oh they are probably using the restroom or getting something to drink and will be back in 5 minutes and god forbid they are constipated maybe 10. BRB does not meen hold on im going to the movies ill be back in 2 hours! So don't abuse the fact that we let BRB go if you are going to BeRightBack then go do what you need to do and BeRightBack within the 5-10 minute leniency. We are very very generous with the 5-10 minutes thing. Most servers will auto kick in 2 minutes top. This is a high traffic server meening that alot of people want to play all the time. So we really should set kick time to 2 minutes but we understand that when you gotta go to the bathroom, you really gotta go.

In Conclusion to all of this, if you are in game and say brb be back in 5-10 minutes and you will be fine. However saying BRB does not meen you are immune to being kicked, this meens that you have 5-10 minutes to do what you need to do and come back. I think you should set the kick time to 6 minuets to take care of the idoling all together

Spot on Paint, I couldn't agree more!

I've always tried to avoid using admin against other players unless they were seriously out of line, I've only ever used it to ban one person that I can recall in the 17 months I have been here. Though in the last 3 months I have repeatedly had to kick a certain few players for chronic idling, something I've seen a real increase in as of late and I haven't been online as much as Paint and the others have.

I think you should set the kick time to 6 minuets to take care of the idling all together

Hi Airrr, happy new year mate.

We currently have an auto kick time of about 15 minutes though UIT2004's idle kick is somewhat unreliable, which is why we don't have it set for less.

It has an annoying habit of kicking in when you are not idling, such as hiding in a cosy spot behind a nice warm diesel generator with a loaded Laser Rifle + 10 racking up those head shots, or fiddling around with the game menu trying to get rid of those incessant auto taunts that some players refuse to turn off despite threats of becoming the latest Saddam car fashion accessory dangling from my rear view mirror.

Actually Airrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr if I remember correctly Bert banned metsrock44. Metsrock44 was banned for comming in game and spamming that the mets rock over, and over, and over! So he was banned. Unfortunitly for you airrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr this guy lived with you and you shared cd keys so when we banned him, you got banned along with him too. Hope this clears things up.
