Deathball anyone? Part Deuce...

Post by SirBeast » Mon Mar 19, 2007 2:22 pm

I am posting this as a new thread since apparently I cannot respond to a previous thread with a poll, which is what I wanted to do.

I am posting this poll because I am really enjoying this gametype, and wish I could play it more often, but it's no fun unless you have people to play with - especially people I know from this server. So here's my poll, which will run for 2 weeks.

The way I see it, if enough people are willing to vote for it now and again, then we should have it as an option. Especially since, as I said before, it's most fun when playing with familiar people.

And before anyone starts on that usual rant again: NO, THIS IS NOT AN EXCLUSIVELY INVASION SERVER - IT'S A PLAYER-SELECT SERVER OF MULTIPLE GAMETYPES! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, GO PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I voted yes of course but there is a problem, since Deathball is run from a different folder with a seperate .exe, I am not sure if this will work. I could be wrong though, because FHI invasion also has a seperate folder and I have played FHI servers within the main UT2004, not the fhi.exe. Deathball definitly has a different learning curve than all of the other games. Carball is easy to learn the basics, but hard to master. With deathball, its a lot harder to learn the basics, but easier to get good at it.

Good point TM, about running deathball. But if it can be done for FHI, it can be done for Deathball - I am sure one of the developers for this server could figure a way around it, if they could manage to find the time.

Shouldn't be a problem I don't think. Carball runs out of a different folder

HELL YEAH
